Social Studies Practice Packets contains six practice tests, each with 45 multiple-choice questions.  The questions are based on the 2012-13 Primary Reading Selection, Empire of the Summer Moon - The Rise and Fall of Quanah Parker and this year's Supplemental Resource Documents. Some questions include diagram boxes and outlines like those on the UIL tests. 

Two packets are available during each academic year:

Packet 1: Released September 2012
Packet 2: Released January 2013

The Primary Reading Selection centers on Quanah Parker, the most powerful American Indian chief in history while the Supplemental Resource Documents cover acts, treaties, timelines, biographies, and other information that students need to know for this year's UIL High School Social Studies contest. TAPPS/PSIA: Although these tests were written primarily for UIL study, these Practice Packets are appropriate for TAPPS and PSIA practice meets since the topics for these competitions are the same as UIL. Please note, however, that the time allotted on TAPPS & PSIA tests differs from UIL, and the point values on LitCrit tests varies (see your competition rules for details).
