NEW! Unforgettable Theme Copy - Bobby Hawthorne - UIL Journalism / Yearbook

For middle school and high school yearbook teams, strong copy can be one of the most challenging parts of creating a successful publication—and yearbook theme copy can be especially difficult. This book takes the mystery out of the process by showing students what effective theme copy looks like and how to use basic journalistic reporting and writing skills to create meaningful, engaging copy that supports and strengthens a yearbook’s theme.

Ideal for UIL Journalism students, high school and middle school yearbook clubs, and student journalists, this resource provides practical guidance for moving beyond vague writing and helps develop copy based on reporting, observation, detail, and storytelling. Students learn techniques that can improve not only yearbook theme writing, but their overall journalism, feature writing, interviewing, and student publication skills.
