It is still early to rate this product but due to the copyright warnings I will probably not go with this product again. I was not aware that I could not share this packet with my UIL Social Studies team either through copies or on our Google Classroom (private). You can get this particular product at a discount by buying 5 or more; the "Buy in bulk and save" link shows the discounted rate. Regarding sharing, we currently do not offer books digitally since the best existing platforms take a high percentage of each sale which would effectively raise, and not lower, our prices to cover our costs. And, as you know, copyrights are intended to prevent sharing in order to protect the author and publisher and all of our products are copyrighted. You might find it interesting to know that the market for this book is quite limited as it is geared only toward those who are competing in the UIL or TAPPS Social Studies contest. Additionally, every book must be sold in the current academic year due to the annual nature of the contest. UIL Social Studies Notes takes three writers and three separate editors, and we spend at least three months annually to develop the product. We also often pay outside writers, many of whom are current or former UIL contest directors who work on sales-based commission. Digesting, organizing, writing, and condensing a large amount of material that meets the expectations of the top students in the state is a responsibility that we take seriously. We are proud to say that this product saves many students and teachers countless hours of research and we get emails thanking us quite often! For most, this book is well worth the investment! We love what we do, but we do need to get paid (yes, those evil bills!) and we appreciate your respecting our copyright agreement by not sharing our products on any internet platforms. Those who have collectively respected our copyright have helped us maintain quality writers, a dedicated staff, and incrementally (slowly) grow our company. We also drink an obscene amount of coffee. We appreciate your respecting our policy and for taking the time to give your feedback. It afforded us the opportunity to address how we arrive at our pricing which others have asked along the way.
