Prepare for the UIL Mathematics Contest

The UIL Mathematics Contest tests high school students on a broad range of mathematical concepts while emphasizing accuracy, problem solving, and efficient use of time. The contest includes questions involving algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, precalculus, calculus, statistics, and other advanced mathematics topics.

Hexco's UIL Math study materials and practice tests give students and coaches additional opportunities to work contest-style problems, recognize common question types, strengthen weak areas, and become more comfortable solving challenging mathematics problems under timed conditions.

UIL Math Practice Tests for High School

Regular practice with complete UIL Mathematics practice tests can help students improve speed, accuracy, mathematical reasoning, and test-taking strategy. Hexco's Math Practice Packets for UIL include six practice tests per packet with answer keys and explanations designed to help students understand difficult concepts and improve through repeated practice.

These practice tests are useful for UIL and TAPPS Mathematics preparation, individual study, classroom practice, team drills, and preparation for invitational, district, regional, and state competition.

What Does the UIL Mathematics Contest Cover?

UIL Mathematics draws from a wide range of high school math, including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, trigonometry, probability, precalculus, calculus, and statistics. Because the contest covers material from several courses, successful preparation requires both strong mathematical fundamentals and regular practice applying those skills to unfamiliar problems.

Practicing a variety of problem types can help competitors learn when to use particular formulas and techniques, recognize patterns more quickly, avoid common errors, and manage their time effectively during competition.

UIL Math Resources for Students & Coaches

Hexco has supported academic competitors and coaches for decades with supplemental contest preparation materials. Our UIL Mathematics resources are designed to provide additional practice beyond classroom instruction and official contest materials.

Students and coaches should also review the current official UIL Mathematics contest information for current rules, the Mathematics Handbook, sample tests, study materials, contest updates, and other official information.
