STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL OF WORD USED IN MICROSOFT OFFICE
CONCEPTS for WORD is our 5th step-by-step tutorial Computer Applications workbook written to help students prepare for the UIL Computer Applications contest. Revised in 2018, Word II contains steps to follow then shows examples of the outcome. Topics covered include Page Layouts, Mailing Ribbon (groups, start mail merge group, etc.), Home Ribbon, Page Layout Ribbon, and more! Once a student has completed the tutorials, we recommend completing the seven practice exercises at the end of the book to help master the concepts covered at the beginning of the book.
Being able to assess and understand Microsoft Word is paramount in the Computer Applications contest. The more familiar a student is with the various ribbons, blocks, and other tools in Word, the faster and more relaxed that student will become. Hexco's Computer Apps Concepts books provide instructions that echo the style of those given on actual UIL tests, but provide explanations and step-by-step instructions along the way.
This volume of Word Concepts is an intermediate/advanced Concepts book that starts out with the less difficult concepts and moves up to the tougher ones. Concepts for Word has been updated for Office 2016, and may be used with Office 2010 and 2013, but there are some differences.
