Ready Writing Practice Packets give students the opportunity to mold essays through creative and structured thought based on the principles of expository writing for the UIL Ready Writing contest. Each packet includes approximately ten tests with two sample topics; each includes judging rubric. Written by a nationally published, independent author, Hexco's Ready Writing Practice Packets take UIL contestants to a new and very challenging level.

TAPPS/PSIA: Although these tests were written primarily for UIL study, these Practice Packets are appropriate for TAPPS and PSIA practice meets since the topics for these competitions are the same as UIL. Please note, however, that the time allotted on TAPPS & PSIA tests differs from UIL, and the point values on LitCrit tests varies (see your competition rules for details).
