While most others include predetermined topics, extensive materials, reading lists, or study guides, Ready Writing requires contestants to utilize a toolbox contained entirely in their minds. In addition, the contents of this toolbox are unique compared to those one would pack for a standard essay-writing scenario.
Our UIL Ready Writing Concepts book explores expository writing with students, instructing them in the art and skill of constructing strong essays. Sections address thesis support, tone, voice, style, word choice, and structure, pitfalls to avoid, as well as samples of strong and weak essays, plus practice exercises.
If you have only one student preparing, be sure to check out individual pricing for our Ready Writing Concepts Book.
