Spelling Bee coordinators have depended on our Natalie's Spelling Bee Organizers for 20+ years! Each year, Natalie's Organizers are revised to include the current year's list of words. The Graded-List volume is for class and school bees and is in difficulty sequence, with groupings for 1st-3rd, 4th-6th, and 7th-8th grades. The Spell It! volume for district, county, or other competitive bees contains ALL of Scripps' words in a semblance of difficulty, plus "Words You Need to Know" from Scripps' website.
Listening to coaches, however, we heard that the consensus wanted a longer study list and more vocabulary-enriching words. In response, we have augmented Scripps' lists with additional words to provide a broader range to study. Providing a greater number of words with all of the appropriate information also assists bee pronouncers when they are forced to go beyond the given Scripps' list to declare a winner. The 2011-2012 Graded list contains 1,078 words total (450 Scripps' words, and 628 Hexco-added words). The Spell It! volume contains approximately 1,510 total words (1,156 Spell It!, 213 Words You Need to Know, and 141 words from Spell It! Rules and Activities). This full-set contains both volumes, totaling nearly 2,500 words. All words include:
Beyond the words, we have taken the time to include rules and instructions for conducting your own bee. If this is your first year conducting and preparing for a spelling bee, we highly recommend this product as it covers what you will need from start to finish as well as annual rule revisions from Scripps.' All pronouncer's, judges', and spellers' functions are listed.
This product is scheduled for release on September 15th. Orders placed today will be shipped as soon as they are available. Click "Buy in Bulk and Save" below product price to view quantity discounts as advertised in our recent brochure -- an excellent choice for providing additional copies for your school judges and pronouncers.
