AAA Travel Challenge. The competition has two tracks, one for unrestricted scholorships and the other for travel specific scholarships.
Academic Leagues. Contests in math, science and social studies for elementary and junior high students.
National Geographic Bee. For students in 4th-8th grade. Geography is more than just maps and political boundaries and this contest is designed to encourage interest in exploring geographical relationships throughout the world (and space).
National Spelling Bee. The spelling Bee was begun in 1925 and Scripps began sponsoring it in 1941. A word list is provided for students to study, but off-list words also occur in the actual competition. HEXCO supplements the word list every year with words similar to those on the list. This year our focus was specifically on vocabulary enriching words. A copy of that list may be found here Download Valerie's Supplement List
