Hexco is expanding! We recognize the importance of geography and are developing products that will help increase a student's geographical awareness, whether it is for regular school academics or the pursuit of the National Geography Bee title.
- Visualize World Geography. Geography can be fun! "Pack it Stan", says Stan the duck's mother. So Stan dutifully puts on his Afghan and heads off. Afghanistan is indeed north of, or "on", Pakistan and Pakistan does look somewhat like a duck. These types of visuals and mnemonic devices help students picture the world. Questions and activities reinforce lessons. This book is perfect for both elementary and middle schoolers who have a geography curriculum either through the public, private or homeschool systems.
- GeoMentor. Interactive software with 1000 questions. There are 12 sets of questions in categories ranging from Terms, Physical Geography, and Countries, to more advanced topics likes Mental Maps, and World Facts. The software will track the progress of five students at a time and flag missed questions for each student. Many of these questions were used by Bonny Jain who was the National Geography Bee Champion in 2006.
- GeoTests. The same 1000 questions in our GeoMentor are available in printed form. Not all students learn in the same manner, and pencil and paper is just another method used by students to help them master material in their own way. The light weight written format also makes it convenient to carry on road trips. The material can be used by homeschool students to augment a geography curriculum and also as a source of trivia in family games. Geography can be fun!
